Making sure I provide clear and easy to understand explanations is of the upmost importance to me. Having worked within the financial industry for the past 20 years, I have a wealth of mortgage knowledge, providing people with mortgages to suit their diverse and often complex needs. My first priority is to obtain the most suitable and competitive financial arrangements to fund a client’s plans, be that a dream home, an investment opportunity or remortgaging a current property. I take pride in my ability to match clients with financial packages to meet their individual requirements. Working with my clients to help them effectively plan for the future can also mean helping them to make sure they have adequate protection for themselves or loved ones should the unexpected happen.
When I am not at work, I like to keep busy, I love spending time with my teenage children and telling them my wealth of dad jokes. My life-long passion for football helps to fill some of my weekends and what little time I have left will often see me turning my hand to a spot of DIY.
Would you rather live in a cabin in the woods, a penthouse in the city, or a bungalow on the beach? – Definitely the woods with a lake for fishing
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A fireman but the working at heights put me off.

Putting customers at ease is my priority, I feel that my friendly but professional approach really helps me to do that. Having been in the finance industry since 2001 and a mortgage broker for over 10 years, I have extensive knowledge of mortgages and in particular the buy to let market. This wealth of experience and straightforward efficient approach enables me to guide customers to the most suitable product helping them to make informed decisions about their future.
In my free time there is nothing I like better than spending time with friends and family. However when I occasionally need a bit of quiet time a trip to the gym or a spot of fishing really does the trick.
Best bit of advice ever given—Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
Podcast or music while driving—Definitely music
Most questionable fashion choice ever made—probably my tie- dye Nirvana t-shirt as a teenager.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A Royal Marine.

I have been working in the Accounting and Financial services industry since 2011 and pride myself on providing a first-class service to all clients, from initial conversations all the way through to completion. I have widespread knowledge of both the mortgage (residential and BTL) and the protection market. Being an outgoing person the thing I enjoy most about my job is talking to new people. Listening to their needs and then adapting my approach to suit their needs really plays to my analytical skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family but that doesn’t stop me slotting in the odd round of golf or watching the occasional football match (who doesn’t).

Would you rather live in a cabin in the woods, a penthouse in the city, or a bungalow on the beach? – Bungalow on a beach …. Who doesn’t like the beach.

My career began in my early 20’s within Estate Agency and although the nosey part of me loved exploring new homes it wasn’t long before I headed into the Finance sector and over 16 years later and here, I am still doing what I love!
Using my social skills (code for talking a lot) I love getting to know my clients and being able to guide them to the most suitable product for them to achieve their goal of getting their dream home and being secure in it. My approachable yet professional service has the right level of assertiveness needed to the job done and this is why my clients continue to return year after year.
When I am not working, I am ferrying my children to one their many after school activities #ifyouknowyouknow!! My daughter ,Honor, and Son, Bobby, are of course my proudest achievements and as a family we love getting our wellies on and exploring using a national trust passes or on a wet day introducing the kids to our favorite 80’s childhood films.
What is one task your family always expects you to do? PARTY PLAN !! I love it too but don’t tell them that.
Beach holiday or city break? Right now it’s a beach holiday for me. Spending time, building sand castles is what it’s all about.
Favorite drink? It’s either a strong cup of Yorkshire tea or cold glass of prosecco , there is no in-between !

I believe that my calm and helpful approach with people is what makes my clients return. Since 2004, I have held a full complement of financial industry positions working with pensions, investments, insurances and mortgages. I qualified as a mortgage broker in 2014 whilst still working in insurance; managing the Corporate Relations team for a popular insurance and health benefits company. I’m a chartered manager through the Chartered Management Institute and former Head of the Young Professionals Committee of the Birmingham Insurance Institute. My focus is always my clients but having a balanced approach to life, I find time to give back to the industry too.
My balanced style is evident in my down time too, spending time with my family is extremely important to me but when I’m not doing that you can find me in the gym or getting excited about sports.
Best bit of advice ever given— If you want the rainbow, you have to put up with the rain.
Adrenaline junkie or a “Steady Eddy” – Definite “Steady Eddy”, can’t stand heights!
